I've just scanned a few old photo's with an Epson 4490 flatbed scanner.
Recently purchased for $72 at Best Buy. This is a pretty good deal as
it came with Photoshop Elements. An older version 2.0 but still a costly
program. Amazon.com still has the scanner for sale at $192. Best Buy
is probably trying to get rid of old stock as it is being replaced by
the V500 that uses energy-efficient LED light eliminates warm-up time
while allowing faster scans. It can be purchased for about $220.
The 4490 is still a great deal while they last. Look for one at Best Buy.
